The best runners in the Northwest were invited to comepte in the 2017 Boys Elite Invitational Mile at the Jesuit Relays. Once the pace setter dropped out the front runners were Andy Monroe from Crater, Joshua Schumacher fresh off a win last week at Centennial in the 3000m, Caleb Seely from Wilson, Yacine Guermali from Camas with the rest of the big dogs on their heels.

The win went to Andy Monroe but the honors for "Amazing Finish" goes to Sophomore Daniel Maton. Not sure where he found the extra boost to pass Joshua Schumacher but I guess it doesn't matter because he just got it done. Even he doesn't know how he did it. Cool thing is he broke his brother's Sophomore PR, (Matthew Maton) by a second. Way to Go Daniel!
