Six win district titles for Blessed To Run
MANSFIELD -- The local Blessed To Run track club produced six champions at the AAU Ohio district meet at Lima Stadium last weekend.
Placing first were Keandre Marlow in the boys bantam division high jump (3-8), Jermaine Whitten in the boys bantam shot put (23-3), Braeden Perdue in the boys sub-youth division discus (86-2), Londyn Niss in the girls sub-midget division discus (48-5), Star Lodwick in the girls sub-youth 1,500 meter run (5:44.14) and Jayde Niss in the girls intermediate division 400 meter hurdles (1:10.7).
As a team, Blessed to Run took home 22 awards, which were given to the top six finishers in each age division event.
Boys receiving awards included Alamar Grose, Angelo Grose, Jermaine Whitten and Khirin Willis in the bantam 4 x 100 relay (third, 1:01.18), Angelo Grose in the bantam 100 dash (fourth, 15.37), Aidan Hill in the bantam shot put (sixth, 17-7.25), Andrew Hill in the young men 800 run (third, 2:35.91), Keandre Marlow in the bantam 800 run (fourth, 3:12.21), Braden Perdue in the sub-youth shot put (second, 30-5.75), Hunter Plew in the midget 400 dash (sixth, 1:14.74) and discus (51-4) and Tresuan Windham in the sub-midget 100 dash (fifth, 14.67) and 200 dash (fourth, 29.85).
Girls receiving awards included Alaya Grose in the sub-midget 100 dash (second, 14.01) and 200 dash (third, 30.11), Star Lodwick in the sub youth 800 run (second, 2:47.44), Kassidy Mills in the sub youth discus (fifth, 50-5), Jayde Niss in the intermediate girls 100 hurdles (second, 17.6), Londyn Niss in the sub-midget shot put (second, 23-1.25) and LaAsia Windham in the sub-bantam 200 dash (sixth, 35.22).
