The So Cal Roadrunners competed at the Southern California Roadrunners of San Diego cross country invitational held at Kit Carson Park in Escondido coming away with 4 first place team finishes, 1 second and 2 third place team placements. The team won the 9-10 boys and girls and 13-14 boys and girls divisions.

     Niza Laureano led the 8-under girls team placing third overall followed by Emma Torres in 5th. Sela Markow age 5 ran her first race ever on the 2000 meter course was the third scorer placing 18th. Johnathan Cisneros led the boys 8-under team placing 7th overall followed by Adrian Tirado in 15th and Joshua Estrada in 17th place as the team placed 3rd overall.

     Jennifer Lopez led the 9-10 girls team to victory placing 2nd overall followed by Andrea Laureano in 3rd. Emma Markow placed 5th with Allura Markow taking 10th. Kaylee Bengoa continues to improve placing 19th overall. Carmilo Torres won the 9-10 boys race by over 47 seconds followed by Anthony Cisneros in 3rd. Isaic Moreno was  the 3rd scorer placing 8th overall. Samuel Uribe continues to improve placing 15th overall.

     Jalina Lindstrom ran well in the 11-12 age group placing 6th overall followed by Myah Peters  in 10th . There were not enough runners to score a team this meet. The 11-12 boys team missing its top 2 guns ran well for 2nd place with Carlos Laureano taking 6th, Leo Valencia 7th and Trevor Benson in 8th. Ray Laureano placed 13th overall. The boys team continue to improve and will be a big surprise at Junior Olympic competition.

     The 13-14 girls won with pack running with 5 runners placing in the top 7 overall. Olivia Paez placed 2nd, Gabriela Rivera 3rd, Caitlin Miller 5th, Guadulupe Perez 6th and Lindsay Calderon placed 7th over the 4000 meter course. The !3-14 boys team remained undefeated this season winning a squeaker by 2 points over San Diego Roadrunners. Kevin Ramos ran a strong race winning by 39 seconds over Wildcat Daniel White. Newcomer  Jordi Piero running his first age group race placed 9th overall and Mario Tavares placed 10th overall. Jacob Moran placed 14th, Jesus Moratoya 15th , Connor Taylor 17th and Jacob Dooley finished in 18th place. Leslie Rivera placed 1st in the 15-16 girls division racing 4000 meters .

     The Team now advance to Junior Olympic competition. The Association meet to be held at Arcadia Park on November 16 and the Regional race November 23. The top 30 runners in each race and top 5 teams in each division advance in each round. The Junior Olympic National championships will be held at Myrtle Beach, South Carolina  on December 13th.

Entry fees : 10.00 for association . 15.00 for Regionals. 20.00 for Nationals. Please pay in advance as you qualify on. Entries are done online.
