In his semifinal race, Williams broke the Junior National Record with a time of 1:05.98 (the previous mark was 1:06.02).

Williams placed fourth nationally in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:42.70. Williams was the 2012 USATF Mid Atlantic and Region 2 winner in both the 400- and 800-meter runs. Dating back to the mid-1960's, the USATF Junior Olympic program is the most visible youth athlete developmental program in the world. Nearly 70,000 youth athletes compete each year in the Junior Olympic Track & Field and Cross Country programs. Williams runs for the Conshohocken Electric Force Track Club.
