Youth Runner Magazine Photographer Steve Klotz is heading out to Guiyang, China this week for the World Cross Country Championships. He has attended several World XC meets. The first was when his son Kenny Klotz made the Junior Team and traveled to Mombassa.

Steve will be taking shots of all the races but will be especially watching the USA Junior Team. In the men's this year it's John Dressel from Washington State, Cerake Geberkidane, Connor Mantz, Paul Roberts and Eric Hammer. For the Junior Women's race he'll be watching Katie Rainsberger, Valerie Contien, Lauren Gregory, Kaitlyn Benner, Shaelyn Sorenson, and Kelsey Shrader.

Our Junior Men's team will be up against runners such as 18 year old Joshua Chetpegei *UGA). He won the world junior 10,000 title last and has been looking really good in cross country events recently. He won the African junior 10,000m. Yihunillgn Adane from Ethiopia is 19 and won team gold in the junior race in 2013. This year he won the Ethiopian trials beating world junior 5000m silver medalist Yasin Haji.

The Junior Women will need to keep a watch out for Rosefline Chepngetich (KEN). Two years ago she was seventh in the junior race and in the steeplechase she took the title at World Youth Champs and the Youth Olympic Games, plus won silver at World Junior Championships.

It all happens on March 28th in Guiyang, China.
