The Cunha Intermediate School sixth-grade girls 4x400 relay team ended the Art David Athletic League Track and Field Championships, winning that race in 5 minutes, 20.14 seconds, May 25.

Mackenzie Faust got a strong lead from teammates Aiden Ainsley, Julia Neal and Savannah Frietas and had enough at the finish to hold off Ralston Middle School. The Rams finished second in 5:20.74.

Cunha's boys sixth-grade 4x200 relay team won in 2:07.66.

Alexander Phillips, a sixth-grader, was a double winner, taking the 100 in 13.70, and the 200 in 28.42.

Eighth-grader Petra Boester won the girls' 1,600 meters in 6:04.45. She was also second in the 800 in 2:47.28.

Dante DiNapoli won the boys' seventh-grade 1,600 in 5:19.86. Graham Faust was third in 5:38.43. DiNapoli was second in the 800 in 2:28.23, with Khalil Droubi third in 2:28.40. Droubi took second in the 400 in 1:05.00.

Jack Broome won the sixth-grade boys' 75-meter race in 11.29 and took second in the 50 meters in 6.53.

Sam Reynolds was second in the sixth-grade boys' 1,600 in 5:42.48.

Julia Dexter was third in the girls' eighth-grade long jump, going 13 feet, 6 inches. In the boys' eighth-grade long jump, Alex Chee was third at 15-4, with Case DuFrane fourth at 15-3, and Alex White fifth at 15-1.

White was third in the discus at 86-9, with DuFrance fourth at 83-10.
