Area track & field athletes in nationals

Two Palmetto Track & Field athletes qualified for the National USATF Junior Olympic Championship to be held from July 29 through Aug. 1 in Sacramento Cal. The athletes placed in the top three in their events at the Region III Junior Olympic Championship in Greensboro, N.C. this past weekend.

Joshua Cady was third in the Youth Boys pole vault (9'6) and Brandon Moseley was third in the Intermediate Boys javelin (129'4) and fifth in the discus (109'10).

Several other team members finished in the top eight of their events. Brooke Moseley was fourth in the Youth Girls javelin (69'9), Malik Brown was fifth in the Intermediate Boys 100m hurdles (15.56), Jovan Cardoso was sixth in the Intermediate Girls discus (103'5), Kymbreana Coley was seventh in the Young Women high jump (5') and eighth in the triple jump (33'4), Colin Buxton was seventh in the Young Men pole vault (13') and Kaylan Adams was eighth in the Young Men high jump (5'8
