The USA Track and Field Jr. Olympic National Cross Country Championship was held on December 8th in Reno, NV.  Despite snow, slush, ice and mud, North Idaho Cross Country (NIXC) posted its best results at a national championship since its founding in 2005.  With 32 runners ages 8-17 competing from NIXC, here’s the recap:

1 National Champion

12 All-Americans (top 25 in each age group)

1 Third place team out of 27 teams (11-12 y.o. boys)

1 Fourth place team out of 22 teams (9-10 y.o. girls)

1 Fifth place team out of 30 teams (11-12 y.o. girls)

Another 7 runners placed in the top 50.  60% of the team ends the 2018 season as a top 50 runner in the country.
