Four national track and field national championships were recently earned by members of the No Limits Track Club of Hammond.

At Eastern Michigan University's Bowen Fieldhouse, NLTC competed in the AAU 14-and-under indoor championships. Thirty teams from across the U.S. gathered at the competition in Ypsilanti, Michigan.

The gold medal winners are Laila Wesby (400 meters), Chaz Bulliock (200), DaQuon Fields (60), and Bryan Falls, Chaz Bulliock, DaeQuon Fields and Justin Titus (800 relay).

Other members of the Hammond team earned second-place medals: Bulliock (400), Fields (200), and Terrell Caldwell (200). Third-place finishers are Cheffronio Cooper, Jr. (800, 400), Wesby (200), Demaris Rias (400), Caldwell (60), Titus (800), and Devon James, Quintin Falls, Cooper, and Rias (800 relay).

The NLTC mission is "to teach track and field fundamentals, good sportsmanship and to promote a positive self-image through camaraderie and competition."

Registration for the track club's 2015 outdoor season will occur at the Hammond YMCA, 7322 Southeastern Avenue, on April 11, April 25 and May 9 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
