The Mendham Township Middle School finished second in the state cross country meet on Saturday. Mendham's Mountainview Middle School came in third.

The Mendham Township boys were led by Kaya Sement's fourth place (10:25) and Harrison Vives' fifth (10:25). Michael Ricciardi (10:58), Teddy Koide (11:09) and Brennan Skirzenski (11:30) also scored.

Jack Stanley led Mountainview with a second-place time of 9:59. Other Mountainview scorers included Jack Jennings (11:12), Ryan Kear (11:18), Stuart Fechhelm (11:28) and Joe Gulino (11:45). Additional runners participating from Mountainview were Nick Fowler (11:53), Drake Lam (11:53), Henry Fechhelm (12:13) and Stefan Kildal-Brand (12:46).  

The Mountainview girls were led by Regan Hakes second (11:34). Kelly McGreal (13:52), Caroline Oneill (13:56) and Maggie Cororan (15:45) also competed with the top runners from across the state.
