12 Athletes will represent the Maritimes at the 2012 North American Hershey Track and Field Championships, in Hershey, Pennsylvania from August 2nd-5th .




The team will be composed of Sara Kean of Rothesay who will run in the 13-14 girls 800m. Sara is the reigning North American  Hershey Champion at this event. 


Jasmyne  McLaughlin  of Fredericton will compete in the 9-10 Softball throw. Chesley Hall of Fredericton will take part in the 13-14 yrs old girls 1600 metres. While Andrew LeBlanc also of Fredericton will compete in the boys 13-14 yrs old 800m.

Both the girls and boys 13-14 relay team also qualified for the North American Final. The boys team consist of Clint Steeves of Riverglade , Ryan Ellis of Nerepis , Nicolas MacLean of Moncton and Nicholas Arseneault of Tracadie . While the girls team will the team of Nikki  Jamieson of Fredericton , Bailey Lockard of Fredericton , Onye Njokuand of Fredericton and  Samantha Taylor of Canterbury will compete for top honors.

This program including the travel to the travel to North American Championships are fully funded by the Hershey Chocolate Company.
