We first met Ciara last year when she set a new record for a 12 year old in the 15k at the Hot Chocolate Run. Now Ciara is a Youth Runner Blogger and contributor to Youth Runner Magazine.

I'm the type of person to have my whole life planned out from tomorrow to the day I make it big. My plan is filled with all my goals. I usually have a plan A, plan B, and plan C. My goal right now is to have a healthy recovery instead of a speedy one. Yes, it would be great to start running as soon as possible but, I want to never have problems with my ankle ever again throughout my running career.

My goals for freshman year of high school will be to at least qualify for the Nike Cross Nationals in Oregon. I would also like to participate in the Foot Locker Nationals, Texas Relays, and AAU National Indoor Meet in New York. Eventually I plan to bring home the gold at every one of those meets. For my freshman year I would like for my times to be under 5 minutes in the 1600 definitely and under 18 minutes in the 5k.

Eventually my senior year I would like to sign with a D1 college. My top three choices would be New Mexico, Oregon, and Baylor. In 2020 I would like to qualify for the Olympics and win the 1500m. My last major goal is to have a successful and happy running career.
