When you run as much as I do, you start to notice things; people's form, tempos, and their running shoes. They come in all styles, colors, and brands, but for some, it's more about look over comfort.
It seems that for some runners the color of the shoe matters more than the fit. While for some this may not matter, most people need specific shoes for their feet.
Recently I asked some of my teammates what they like about their running shoes, and though some talked about comfort, many still expressed love for the appearance.
It made me wonder, when did we get so caught up in the appearance of our run. Sure when we go for a run we want to look presentable, but why do we have to look trendy?
Next time you go to purchase your next pair of running shoes, I hope you think not just about the look, but also about how they fit.
