BeJair Fray, a recent graduate of Lake Weir and the Star-Banner's Track and Field Athlete of the Year, was one of several local athletes to qualify for the USA Track and Field regionals.

Much was achieved when local athletes from the Family Atmosphere and Mentoring track and field club competed at the USA Track and Field Florida Championships last week.

BeJai Fray (heptathlon, long jump), Joey Lindsey (100m), Kiara Williams (shot put, discus), Tygar Shelhart (shot put, discus), Antonio Graham (discus), Rakeem Lumsden (long jump), Jordan Forshee (1500m), Jordan Wilson (100m, 200m), Marlon Bannister (110m hurdles), Marvin Reynolds (long jump, triple jump), Kyle Edwards (100m), Ke'ana Edwards (100m, shot put, long jump), Tyler Fishback (800m) and Javaris Beard (100m) all qualified for regionals, which begin Thursday in Rock Hill S.C.

Top five finishers from each respective age group will advance to compete at the USA Track and Field Junior Olympics in Houston from July 26 through Aug. 2.
