If you've never heard of the Millrose Games its an annual "Indoor Track Meet" in New York. For years it was held in Madison Square Garden but now is over at the New Balance Armory Track. The highlight to most is called the Wannamaker Mile where
the elite runners come out to see who is the best. This year Eric Jenkins won that race in 3:53.23. Wow!  Eric ran for the University of Oregon and now is part of the Nike Oregon Project.

The highlight for us however has always been watching the youth races and the "Fastest Kid on the Block." All of this is hosted by the New York Road Runners Club.  What's cool is they invited the "Fastest Boy and Fastest Girl" from Ireland to come over and compete.

In the 55 meter dash Emily Kelly from Donegal, Ireland ran 8.97 to get 3rd place. In the boys 55m Bernard Ibirogba won his race in 8:41.

Kymoy Phillip of Brooklyn returned to defend his title in the 800 and ran a fast time of 2:19.34 for the repeat.
