East, South split cross-country running meet

 

The East High and South High cross-country running teams split a dual meet at Russian Jack Springs Park on Friday, with East's boys taking a narrow victory and South's girls winning handily.

John Farr led East by covering the 5-kilometer course in 17 minutes, 23 seconds. Katherine Culver paced the South girls by winning in 20:08.
