4x100 Junior Olympic Team 2012 Tazaria Lawrence, Daneen Reid, Alayna Battle, Kiara Bundrage

The Dynamic Speed Elite Track Club has been making a name for itself this spring and summer. The nonprofit organization, which is run by former Olympian Dannette Young-Stone and based in Conyers, had a big day at a national meet last month at New Manchester High School in Douglasville.

#Dynamic Speed had nine individuals and a relay team qualify for the Junior Olympics (held July 30 through Aug. 4 in Humble, Texas), led by Candace Hill in the 100 meters, 400 meters and the 200 meters, where she set a national record. Also qualifying were Jereme Faison in the 100 and 200 meters; Ariel McClean in the discus throw and shotput; Darren Stephens in the long jump and 400 meters; William Dillard and Justin Jones in the shot put; Karington Perry in the long jump; Nicolas Stephens in the discus throw and Danisha Singletary in the pentathlon.

#The girls 400-meter relay team of Kiara Bundrage, Tazaria Lawrence, Daneen Reed and Alayna Battles also qualified.

#Now that the team has completed a successful run in Douglasville, they'll run in a pair of meets, including the Junior Olympics. But first, Young-Stone expects to qualify a number of other athletes when the team competes in the AAU Nationals this weekend in Orlando, Florida.

#Dynamic Speed Elite Track Club is a nonprofit organization in its sixth year and is a member of the United States Track and Field Association. For more information, visit dynamicspeedtrack.com.
