A while back I fractured my ankle during a middle school basketball game. As a runner my heart shattered. This happened on January 13, 2015. It's been almost 2 months. I was supposed to have surgery in Corpus Christi but, we went to San Antonio and my doctor thought I would be better off without surgery. I was then put on a boot which was on top of the crutches I already had.

I started walking with just the boot and no crutches about two weeks ago. I recently started light therapy. I warmup 10 minutes on the bike and then do therapy on my ankle. I was supposed to be in New York during spring break for the New Balance Nationals in USTAF Nationals but, I had to cancel.

I get the worst feeling ever watching the races knowing I could have been there but, I took my running as an advantage by sacrificing all my hard work just to play a basketball game. I'm just hoping this is a blessing in disguise.

I can't wait to be back running and setting records.
