Club Arkadelphia runner Angel Eley

Jacksonville, Ark. — Local runner Angel Eley won the 1,600 meter race at the Hershey State Track and Field Meet in Jacksonville on Saturday.

The win allows her winning time of 5:56 to be compared to other competitors winning times in other state’s meets. Depending on how her time compares, she may qualify for the national meet.

Each state is guaranteed a minimum of five participants for the national meet in Hershey, Penn. during the first week of August.
