Colonial sophomore cross country runner Andres Arroyo finished second in the Young Men’s Division (Boys 15-19 division) at the AAU National Cross Country Championships last Saturday at ESPN’s Wide World of Sports. Arroyo, running as part of the Colonial Running Club, ran a time of 16:21.89 on the 5K course.

Geneva cross country runner Mackenzie Wilson, a 7th-grader, finished fifth in the Sub-Youth/Youth (Girls 13-14 division). Wilson, who ran as an Unattached runner, had a time of 15:39.24 on the 4K course.

Also in the top-25 of the boys 15-19 division from the Colonial Running Club was Cody Decker, who was 17th at 17:18.86, just ahead of teammate Caleb Licht, who placed 18th in 17:19.98. John Profitt finished 25th at 17:35.12.

Lake Brantley junior Otneil Teixeira, running for Team Florida, finished 23rd overall in a time of 17:32.42.
