Valdon R. Daniel, III (age 11) and Ananda Daniel (age 10) recently qualified to compete in the 2015 AAU Nationals (Junior Olympics) for Outdoor Track and Field.  They both advanced at the AAU VA Regional Qualifer held in Suffolk, VA from June 26-28, 2015.

Valdon received a gold medal for his High Jump performance (in the 12 year old boys category).  Valdon also qualified to compete at this year's Junior Olympics in the Long Jump.

Ananda received a gold medal for the 9-10 Girls 4X100 Meter Relay where the team ran their fastest time of the season (56.28 seconds).  Ananda qualfied to compete at this year's Junior Olympics in the 100 meter dash and the 200 meter dash as well.

Valdon and Ananda currently run with the Mustangs Track Club.  Both are student athletes and Junior Olympic medalists.  Valdon and Ananda received a Junior Olympic Bronze medal at the 2014 AAU Junior Olympics which was held in Iowa.

To date, both Valdon and Ananda have qualified for and competed in the AAU Nationals (Junior Olympics) every year they have competed in outdoor track and field! 

Valdon and Ananda qualified in 2013 with the Willingboro Track Club, in 2014 with the Willingboro Track Club and in 2015 with the Mustangs Track Club.

Some previous AAU Junior Olympic events for Valdon include
400 meter dash, 800 meter run, 4X400 Meter Relay and 4X800 Meter Relay (where he received a Junior Olympic Bronze medal).

Some previous AAU Junior Olympic events for Ananda include
100 meter dash, 200 meter dash, 400 meter dash, 4X100 Meter Relay and the 4X400 Meter Relay (where she ran anchor and the team received Junior Olympic Bronze medals).

 

These two siblings are on the move!  What makes Valdon and Ananda a winning combination?
