Erik Le Roux (Colorado Springs, Colorado) had the largest winning margin of any age group at the USATF National Junior Olympics Cross Country Championships in Tallahassee to earn USATF Athlete of the Week.


Le Roux, an eighth-grader and a member of Landsharks Running Club, dominated the boys’ 13-14 age group over 4K, winning by 11.1 seconds in 12:16.4. He finished 10th last year and also claimed bronze in the 3,000m at the USATF National Junior Olympics Track and Field Championships this summer.
