Run for the Dream Fun Run, 8K & Half05/19/12
Williamsburg and the Historic Triangle offer numerous opportunities for exploration and fun and are perfect for the entire family. Runners should come for the race and then stay for the weekend. The first 3,000 half marathon registrants will receive FREE passes to Busch Gardens (valid May 18-20), plus a 15% discount for family and friends. Colonial Williamsburg is providing FREE single day Historic Area passes (valid May 19-20) for the first 6,000 participants of the 8K or half marathon and a 50% discount for family and friends. Colonial Williamsburg is also offering discounted hotel rooms and length of stay tickets for registered guests.
Additional race activities during the weekend include a Post-Race bash in the Sunken Garden at the College of William & Mary. A special Saturday evening event, Salute to the Nation, hosted by actor Joe Mantegna, will be held on the Palace Green in Colonial Williamsburg. Both events are free.
Both race courses include iconic Duke of Gloucester Street in Colonial Williamsburg and end with a final lap in Zable Stadium on the picturesque campus of the College of William & Mary. The half marathon also includes the Colonial Parkway along the scenic James River. The Kids Fun Run will take place in Zable Stadium and includes three lengths: 100 meter sprint, 400 meter dash and mile run
