Kids bike and run in duathlon at CambridgeSide Galleria Sunday
Kids ages 5 to 14 years old will be running and biking as part of a duathlon at the CambridgeSide Galleria Sunday.
The state Department of Conservation and Recreation will be restricting traffic to one lane along some stretches of Monsignor O’Brien Highway and Land Boulevard during the Run & Ride event between 7 a.m. – 1 p.m.
The duathlon is the first held in a collaboration between the CambridgeSide Galleria, the City of Cambridge, and several other organizations in an effort to promote active health and fitness.
The kids-only event will consist of a running leg, followed by cycling and then another running leg with the intent to resemble a triathlon without the swimming component.
Check in for the event Sunday is at 8 a.m. and the first races begin at 9 a.m. at Charles Park at the CambridgeSide Galleria at 100 CambridgeSide Place.
