Southern Maryland Striders Track & Field Club Competes

The Southern Maryland Striders Track and Field Club competed in the Potomac Valley Association 14 & Under National Invitational Track and Field Meet held on Saturday, March 3rd, 2007 at the P.G .Sports and Learning Center in Landover, Maryland.

The 4x200m Midget Girls Relay of Makiah Green, D'nia Pope, Tyasia Thomas and

Briauna Kilgore placed 1st and where Potomac Valley Association 14 & Under National Champions with a

time of 1:57.26. they also placed 3rd in the 4x400m Midget Girls Relay with a time of 4:37.73.

(This relay teams next competition is the Nike Indoor Championships on March 10th, 2007 in Landover, MD)

Briauna Kilgore placed 3rd in the 400m Dash Girls Midget Division with a time of 1:06.47, and Tyasia Thomas placed 4th with a time of 1:08.58.

Makiah Green placed 3rd in the 55m Dash Girls Midget Division with a time of 7.93, Briauna Kilgore placed 5th with a time of 8.08, and D'nia Pope placed 8th with a time of 8.28.

Makiah Green placed 3rd in the 200m Dash Girls Midget Division with a time of 27.98, and D'nia Pope placed 6th with a time of 29.30.

Marceles Kane placed 5th in the 800m run Bantam Boys Division with a time of 2:59.85 and also placed 5th in the 1600m run with a time of 6:25.11.
