L.A. Jets Track Club

The Los Angles Jets Track Club was started back in 1973 with a few elementary school age athletes.  It is now one of the powerhouse youth clubs in the country with one hundred and eighty athletes ages five to eighteen they they compete in the USATF.

Coach Booker Woods and his volunteer coaching staff have produced one hundred and eighty individual national champions, one hundred and thirty-three national championship relay teams and sixty-one national records to date and have been one of the most competitive youth track clubs in the nation for the past twenty-one years.The Los Angeles Jets Track Club is known throughout the United States as one of the most soundly estabelished youth track and field organization in the nation and was recently recognized as the team of the millennium, during the 2000 USATF Junior Olympic Championship in Buffalo, NY.

Many of their athletes have received track and field scholarships to major universities.  Athletes are encouraged to strive for academic and moral excellence, as well as athletics. 

This team functions year 'round with a fashion show that serves as a fundraiser and an awards banquet. the jest travel to several own of town invitational meets, regional and national competitions during the track and cross country season.
When the team pull into the arena parking lot with a fleet of charter buses you know the Jets have arrived.

Jets staff also put on the L.A. Jets Relay Festival and the L.A. Jets Invitational...which
drew over 2500 athletes last year.
