Twelve year old, Audriana Holloway of the Murrieta Mavericks takes third place in the midget girls 100 meter dash at the USATF National Junior Olympic Championships on July 27, 2008. After taking the gold and silver at the Southern California Association and Region 15 Championships, Audriana took her place on the podium to receive the bronze medal. Her progress and achievement this year is quite honorable as she has only been moderately training and competing for one year.

When asked what her favorite part of the Junior Olympic experience was, she replied, “I liked standing up high on the podium. It made me feel proud of what I had accomplished.” Her coach and father, Jason Holloway stated, “I was so proud of her for making the final in a national championship meet and making top three was the icing on the cake.”

Those who have witnessed her natural speed, strength, and ability know that her athleticism will take her far. Aside from her athletic talent, Audriana enjoys reading, writing stories and being with her friends and family. She is also actively involved in a program at her school called Peers for Positive Change and academically maintains a 3.8 grade point average.
