Jeff freshman wins Hershey title

Logan Moore won the 1,600 run in the boys 13-14 division at the Hershey's North American Track and Field finals, held Saturday in Hershey, Pa.The incoming Lafayette Jeff freshman won in a time of 4:44.54, defeating Mike Tate of Heatherton, Nova Scotia, by more than three seconds.

Shalynn Newkirk of Lafayette finished fourth in the girls 9-10 division 50-meter dash in a time of 8.21 seconds. Newkirk will be in the fifth grade at Woodland.
