12 year old Patrice Jones made it to the AAU Junior Olympics last summer. She's back this year, along with her younger brother Patriq.

Patrice won regional titles in the 200, 400, and long jump last weekend in Normal to qualify for the Junior Olympic games.

And partiq took first in the 4x400 relay and second in the 200 to qualify in those events.

The brother-sister combo will head to Ypsilanti, Michigan for the competition from July 26th through August 3rd.

Both say just gettting to the junior olympics and winning regionals was an accomplishment in itself.

"It was just amazing because when I went there I didn't even know if I was going to do a one minute," Patrice said of running a sub 1:00 400 m. "Then when I finished my race and I looked back at the billboard and I saw my name and heard my time, it just felt really great."

"I felt really great because I haven't gone to the Junior Olympics for three long years," 10 year old Patriq added. "So this is my first year and I'm very happy."
