Idaho Teams do Well at Simplot

POCATELLO, Idaho ? Today was qualifying day at Simplot Games. Athletes were rushing for a spot in tomorrow?s final day of competition, led by teammates Elynn Smith and Karleigh Gempler of Boise?s YMCA Team Idaho. Smith qualified second in the girl?s 800-meter race, and Gempler was the second fastest qualifier at 3200 meters.

 

Also, six boy?s and six girl?s teams qualified for the first ever All-Idaho Relay. This race will showcase Idaho?s athletes as they compete against their peers to prove which relay team is the fastest.
