George, Ross come out on top in cross-country again

ST. THOMAS - Tremaine George of Ulla Muller Elementary and Khamari Ross of Lockhart Elementary repeated their success from last week as they each again finished in first place in elementary cross-country running on Tuesday at the UVI golf course. George took the girls one-mile win in seven minutes and 14 seconds. She was followed by Nicole Morrissette of Antilles, who finished in second place for the second week in a row, at 7:22, with Shekinah Maduro of Kirwan Elementary in third place at 7:28.

Ross won the boys one-mile in 6:35 with Ian Barrows of Antilles coming in second for the second straight week at 6:40, followed by Khalid Williams of Kirwan Elementary at 6:49.
