I have been running 1/2 a mile in my past four workouts (with rests). They are getting a lot easier (I run on the treadmill). Should I go up to 3/4 a mile or 1 mile or stay here? I have a couple months to train for my first 5K

I would start out trying to increase to 3/4 mile every other time, and stay at 1/2 mile the other times. Once that gets easy, run 3/4 mile every day, and gradually build up to 1 mile every other day. Repeat this cycle until you can run 2.5 miles, and then you should be ready to complete a 5k! Good luck!
