Leo, who came to us from Dyestat.com, not only answers questions, but covers distance events and cross country meets in the Northwest for Youthrunner.com. During his high school coaching career between 1983-90, he coached 19 runners who went on to compete on the college level, 2 State Champions, 2 Footlocker Qualifiers, and 1 Olympian.
Leo lettered in XC & track at Niagara University and competed in 100's of road races after graduating from college. He also served as President, Treasurer & Newsletter Editor for Southeast Cleveland Road Runner Club (SERC) 1979-85, was a member of the National Long Distance Running Committee of the Athletics Congress 1984-89, was Editor for the 1983 US Road Runner’s Convention Program, Coach of the Year – Greater Cleveland Conference 1989 and coached XC at Junior High level 1975-81 plus Track at JHS 1975-1981, 1985-1986.
